Architects

Vidder architects are capable of working with customers to define powerful solutions that meet their specific needs, and then capture those requirements in architectural documents and specifications to drive subsequent development and integration processes.

At Vidder, architects have 10+ years of software development experience and are willing to lead or join in the development or integration processes required to execute on a project.

Software Development

Many of our projects involve either custom development of or modifications to existing Vidder technology to fit to the specific customer need. We are rapidly growing a core team of ace developers to meet the needs of present and pending projects.

Candidates must have 10+ years of proven development experience in many of the technical areas identified above.

Integration Engineering

Almost all of our projects involve the selection of and integration with best-of-breed point products which when integrated together and/or with internal Vidder technology, realize the desired customer solution. We use the term "Integration Engineer" for the our team members that focus on selecting, scripting, configuring, and integrating products from various security/networking/directory vendors to realize the overall solution.

For this team, we are looking for people who have 10+ years of experience with deploying various vendors’ products or services in the technology areas identified above.

QA and Customer Support

Delivering breakthrough and creative high impact solutions is not easy. Such solutions must be tested extensively and creatively to ensure they exceed requirements. Then they must be aggressively supported as the solution is deployed in the real world to rapidly deal with the expected unexpected.

At Vidder we view QA and customer support as one cohesive team, because who is better to identify real world issues and anomalies than the people who tested it in the lab and pilot prior to production deployment? Also, we don’t view QA as the "ugly stepchild" of development. We are building a QA/support team that has expertise and brainpower at least equal to the architecture and development teams, often rotating people though these various roles over the course of a project to ensure the absolute best end result for our customers.

Program Management

High quality Program Management at Vidder is not desirable – it is essential.

Generally, projects at Vidder are big, multi-phased, involve one or more partners in delivering the entire solution, and are for customers who themselves are big and require coordination with many different internal groups. Often participants are geographically spread and may cross many language and culture domains.

Vidder Program Managers must be technical enough to be able to understand how various the overall project needs to come together over time, to negotiate and track deliverables between groups and organizations, to sense when an aspect of the program is misunderstood, to articulate issues to various contributors, and to know who to get involved in various processes, issues and decision-making. Vidder Program Managers also need to be very good communicators, have excellent people skills, and be socially and politically sensitive.
